Snickerdoodle Cookies




Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shortening 
  • 1 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon white sugar 
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon 

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Cream together the butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cup sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
  • Shape dough into balls.
  • Mix the 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon, roll dough balls in mixture and flatten a little.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
