As a passionate cookie lover, I can honestly say that these Double Chocolate Chip Cookies are heavenly and this recipe is one to add to your collection!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purposed flour
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- In a large bowl beat together the butter and sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla and continue mixing until well combined.
- Slowly add the mixture of dry ingredients on low speed until well combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips (leaving a few to add to the tops of dough balls)
- Cover bowl with cling wrap and refrigerate for roughly 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
- Take dough out of fridge, let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper or baking mat.
- Roll dough into balls (I use roughly 2 tablespoons of dough per ball)
- Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheet for 3-5 minutes.
- Transfer cookies to cooling rack.
- Serve and enjoy!
* To change things up, consider using white chocolate chips or adding mini M&M's to the dough mixture!
