Spring Style: Finding The Perfect Shades

Spring and warmer weather are so close I can feel it, I am counting down the days until I can break out my favourite sunglasses! In this post I am sharing Warby Parker's Quintessentials Collection which launches TODAY! They have so many adorable styles, there is a pair perfect for everyone!

For those who may not know about this awesome brand, Warby Parker was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to offer designer eyewear at a revolutionary price, while leading the way for socially conscious businesses.

On top of their awesome styles and selection, Warby Parker is all about giving back! Almost one billion people worldwide lack access to glasses, which means that 15% of the world’s population cannot effectively learn or work. To help address this problem, Warby Parker partners with non-profits like VisionSpring to ensure that for every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need.

What are your favourite sunglasses from the collection below!? Mine would have to be the classic Raider in Gold!

Spring 2018 thredUP Try On Haul

On my most recent order with thredup I saved $174.05! I have heard of thredUP through other bloggers and youtubers, and I'm excited to say that they now ship to Canada!

For those who have no idea what thredUp is, let me give you a quick summary! thredUP is a "fashion resale website for consumers to buy and sell secondhand clothing online." A few features that I love about the site is you can easily browse stock and can search by brand, size, clothing type, etc. Also, probably the best feature (although I have yet to try) is that you can recycle your old clothing through them! You can order a Clean Out Bag and fill it with like-new women's and kids clothing while earning a little cash or credit!

As a Canadian, this gives me a way to purchase brands not sold in Canada, and all at a very good and affordable price!

Below are the five items I purchased from thredUP!  I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone and made a Youtube video featuring my awesome finds! Leave a comment letting me know which one is your favourite, and if you would like to see more of my amazing thredUP finds, make sure to read my post: thredUP Try On Haul!

This adorable cardigan is super soft and light-weight, making it perfect for spring! I love all the little details such as the ruffle on the sleeves and the belt, giving you the option to wear it so many different ways!

Merone Pullover Sweater- Original Price $20.00 - Purchased Price $6.99

I am obsessed with this colour, coral compliments my skin tone, hair and eyes perfectly making it a must have in my wardrobe. This pullover is soft, the perfect length and I love that I can dress it up or down depending on the occasion!

Old Navy Long Sleeve Button Down- Original Price $27.00 - Purchased Price $7.99
I fell in love with this long sleeve button down in the store a few months ago and refused to pay full price, as fate may have it I found it on thredup for only $7.99 and I knew it was meant to be. Light-weight and perfect for spring, I will be wearing this weekly!

Garage Vest- Original Price $36.00 - Purchased Price $9.99
I am a vest girl. No matter the season you will see me rocking them! Pinterest lately has been filled with outfits featuring military style- army green vests and have left me totally inspired, so when I saw this on the site I knew I had to swipe it up!

American Eagle Outfitters Pullover Sweater - Original Price $50.00 - Purchased Price $3.99
Although I was hoping this sweater would be here in time to feature in my Think Pink: Valentine's Inspiration post, I am still super glad I purchased it. The light-weight, almost fishnet like material will make it perfect for spring!

I Need A Change: My Hopes, Dreams and Goals for 2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR! To say I'm excited for 2018 is an understatement. I will be the first to admit that 2017 was not a great year for me. I found myself struggling a lot. I felt as though I was in a constant rut that I could not get out of.  I lost friendships, although some returned, my feelings for someone crashed and burned leaving me hurt and embarrassed, I lost all motivation to try in school even though I am so close to graduating with a Business Degree and I have honestly just felt lonely.

BUT don't get me wrong, 2017 did have some pretty awesome moments for me! I was able to collaborate with some pretty cool businesses on my blog, I did an internship with a well known Insurance Association, I gained new friends who continually show me their loyalty and support, I strengthened my relationship with my brother and I feel as though we are not only siblings but true friends. I also started my Youtube channel, it was something that terrified me, but I am so glad I got out of my shell and followed a dream.

2018 for me is all about changes. I want to improve my health, happiness, friendships, and my blog. There are so many things I've put off for far to long, and I have learned that life does not slow down and will just continue to pass me by. I don't want to live my life with regrets anymore, the constant 'what if' plays in my head like a broken record... that is about to change! The following are a few of the things I would like to work on, and grow towards in 2018.

Health: I will admit that I am a generally small person, but that does not mean I am healthy. The truth is, I eat like shit and it is catching up to me. I am always tired, constantly sluggish and out of breath and have little to no core or upper body strength. In 2018 I plan on changing all of that. I am making a vow to myself to eat healthier and exercise on a consistence basis. This change to my routine will be hard, but I am up for the challenge.

Graduate: I am currently in my fifth year of University and I pray that I won't make it a sixth. I am so close to being able to graduate, I need the push and motivation to get me through the final courses. 2018 I will make this happen. Endless opportunities await me at the end of this long tunnel, I can't wait to see where 2018 takes me with my career.

Savings: I dream for the day that I will be finically stable to live on my own. The thought of my own place makes me beyond happy.  Cooking, cleaning, decorating, entertaining, oh the fun I will have! Once I graduate I will be debt free as I have worked hard and paid for every semester, not having the financial burden on my shoulders will help me achieve this goal.

Happiness: Some might find this selfish, but if you truly know me, you will understand. In 2018 I want to put myself first. I want to do what makes me happy, and not constantly cater to the needs of others. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing I love more than helping, guiding and encouraging others, but I have to find a balance. I need to do what I love and not worry about what others might think, but at the same time continue to show my love for those around me.

Relationships: Number one in my life has always been and always will be family and friends. I value each and every relationship I have. In 2018 I will continue to strengthen those relationships I am beyond grateful to have all while making new ones.  One thing I would like to work on in 2018 is that I would love to go out and date, I know the right guy is out there... I just have to find him!

Social Media: Although I have many social media accounts, In 2018 I want to focus on Instagram and VSCO. In 2017 on Instagram I only posted THREE times... that is sad and pathetic. I need to take more pictures, show my creativity, my smile and not worry about the amount of likes I will get.

Youtube: One of the scariest things I did in 2017 was start my Youtube channel. It has always something I have wanted to try and I am so glad I jumped out of my shell and took the plunge. In 2018 I want to grow my channel and learn how to make the best videos for you all. To do this I need your help and encouragement. It would mean the world to me if you would subscribe to my channel, that way you will get notified when I get the courage to post more videos.

Blogging: I love, love, love blogging. What started as a hobby years ago has turned into a passion. I may just be a small blog, but I am motivated to change that. In 2018 I plan on growing my audience and connecting with you all. I will admit that I get discouraged when no one comments or reads my posts but I won't let that stop me. If you are reading this or any of my other posts, just say a simple Hi in the comments, you have no idea how much that would mean to me and continue to encourage me. I hope that 2018 will bring me not only new blogger friends, but the opportunity to work with brands, companies and other amazing bloggers.

I need a fresh start and I have a good feeling about 2018. I hope I can accomplish my hopes, dreams and goals... 2018 will be my year.
