Weather: No matter the weather, the key is to be prepared. Always check the forecast before you leave, bring layers and dress accordingly!
Venue: Whether you are celebrating at a church, vineyard, barn, or even a backyard the venue can play a major role in deciding on the perfect outfit.
Required Attire: Don't go against the dress code, not only will you stand out like a sore thumb, but it can be seen as disrespectful. You friends getting married have spent a lot of time planning their dream wedding and you should respect their choices!
Additional Tips:
- Be respectful! Don't wear white or any shade of off-white unless requested to do so. The bride is more than likely going to be wearing white, it's her day to shine!
- A casual dress code doesn't mean sweats. It's better to be overdressed than underdressed.
- If you are worried about comfort, try dressing in loose, soft and light-weight fabrics.
- Stay away from jeans, rips and holes, even if they are part of the design or look you are going for. Instead, try incorporating cute cut-outs, low back, or funky designs.
- If planning to wear heels, make sure you wont be walking on soft grass, dirt, etc.
- Buying a "new look" for every wedding can be expensive. I recommend using rental sites such as Black Tux. They give you the option of renting a suit or tuxedo at an affordable price. With so many styles and colour options, you'll always look stylish and unique!
